On January 16th, a Singaporean major industrial park development company, KCN, held a groundbreaking ceremony for Phase 2 of the Huu An Tan Industrial Park in Long An Province, Vietnam, boasting a total developed area of 200 hectares across 8 locations in Vietnam (4 in the South and 4 in the North).
The same industrial park is located in a key economic region in the southern part of Vietnam, serving as a gateway connecting the southeastern region with the Mekong Delta. Within the industrial park, there is an inland waterway port that facilitates convenient transportation, loading, and unloading of raw materials and goods.
Furthermore, this industrial park is located in the southern part of Ho Chi Minh City, offering a convenient commuting location within one hour by car from the city center via Ho Chi Minh – Truong Long Expressway and National Highway 1A.
In terms of securing workers, this area is close to residential areas like Nam Long – Ben Luc, Waterpoint, etc., offering favorable conditions. Additionally, the minimum wage in this region is categorized as the second tier, making it possible to keep labor costs down.
The rental factories and warehouses being constructed by the industrial park development company feature high-quality buildings with hybrid design, capable of meeting the needs of foreign companies.
In Phase 2, rental factories and warehouses are scheduled for construction, with handover to clients planned for the fourth quarter of this year.
The nationality breakdown of tenants in the Huu An Tan Industrial Park shows that Chinese and Taiwanese tenants make up 50%, Korean tenants 20%, Japanese tenants 10%, and others 20%. There is a focus on attracting Japanese companies in the future, hence they are hiring Vietnamese employees fluent in Japanese for their Japan Desk.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by executives including Ms. Rosie Ngo Thu Thuy, CEO of KCN Vietnam, along with various agent companies partnering with the company, all gathered to pray for the success of this project.
