The 41st: Bac Giang Province – Actively Attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)

When manufacturing companies enter Vietnam, choosing the right industrial park in a specific region is a crucial point. There are provinces and cities that are actively working to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and I would like to introduce a few examples of these regions.

This time, we will feature Bac Giang Province, which is within commuting distance from Hanoi and has also announced the construction of an AEON Mall.

1. Location / Area / Population

Bac Giang Province is located in northeastern Vietnam, covering an area of 3,896 km² with a population of approximately 1.89 million.

3.Features of Bac Giang Province

Bac Giang Province is located in northeastern Vietnam, with the provincial capital being Bac Giang City. The region is known for its strong agricultural industry, particularly in pineapples and lychees.

Bac Giang City is located 51 km northeast of central Hanoi, 45 km from Noi Bai International Airport, and 110 km from Hai Phong Port.

4. Japanese Companies Operating in the Area

Major Japanese companies that have expanded into Bac Giang include Inoue Vietnam, Nichirin Vietnam, and Hosiden Vietnam — all located in the Quang Chau Industrial Park.

5. Living Environment

The Evergreen Bac Giang serviced apartments for expatriates working in industrial parks are being developed by the Indochina Group and are receiving positive feedback.

Additionally, the construction of an AEON Mall has been announced, making the area increasingly convenient for Japanese expatriates.

6. Summary

Bac Giang Province is just a one-hour drive from Hanoi. With the recent development of industrial parks and serviced apartments for expatriates, it is experiencing the highest GRDP growth rate in northern Vietnam.

The area holds strong potential for continued economic development.
