The Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is currently implementing a subsidy program to support Japanese businesses investing in countries in the Global South region, including Vietnam, by partially subsidizing the necessary project costs.
Traditionally, when manufacturing companies entered Vietnam, they had two options: build a factory on their own land or move into an existing rental factory. However, Eco-Nova Factory (BTS Style), which recently held a groundbreaking ceremony in the Ecoland Industrial Park in Hung Yen Province in northern Vietnam, uses a BTS (Build to Suit) model. This scheme allows the industrial park developer, Eco-Nova Factory, to build a factory to the client’s specifications, bearing the land and construction costs, with the client paying for it through a 5-10 year lease.
This time, we will be discussing the main changes to Vietnam’s investment law, which was revised last July, as well as the impact on business practices and points to note.
When a manufacturing company enters Vietnam, choosing which region to build an industrial park in is an important point, but there are provinces and cities across the region that are actively working to welcome FDI, and we would like to introduce some examples of this.

As several provinces and cities are earnestly working to attract FDI, we would like to introduce a few examples. This time, we introduce Lam Dong Province, which now boasts one of the largest land areas in the country following its merger with Dak Nong and Binh Thuan provinces.
